How to Apply
The ATSAH Program—“Eagle” in Navajo—addresses staffing shortages within the Chinle Hospital Radiology Department while creating career opportunities for young Navajo adults. The program provides full academic scholarships to students pursuing radiologic technology training at Weber State University. Graduates are encouraged to give back to their community by working in the Chinle Hospital Radiology Department or other Navajo Nation healthcare facilities.
Requirements and Eligibility
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation
- Hold a high school diploma or GED
- Commit to completing the two-year Radiologic Technology Program at Weber State University
- Agree to work for three years in Chinle Hospital or another Navajo healthcare site post-graduation
Program Requirements and Timeline
- Commitment: 3 years of employment with Chinle Hospital or another Navajo Nation healthcare site
- Program Length: 2 years / 5 semesters
- Scholarship Details: Covers tuition, books, fees, uniforms, and professional society dues

FAQ
What if I don’t pass a semester?
Students must maintain passing grades to stay in the program. ATSAH provides support to help students succeed.
What happens if I can’t fulfill the 3-year employment requirement?
Graduates are expected to work within the Navajo healthcare system. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Letters of Recommendation are required to be submitted by the recommender. If there are extenuating circumstances, please reach out to Nicole Dhanraj at nicoledhanraj@gmail.com
